Are workers rewarded for inconsistent performance?

چکیده
This paper examines whether workers are rewarded for inconsistent performance by salary premia. Some earlier research suggests that inconsistency leads to premia, while other finds premia consistent performance. Using detailed and data top-level footballers in Italy’s Serie A, we find is penalized some important dimensions of basic measures associated with key skills players, specifically clearances, aerial duels won, shots on target.
